Boat-tailed Grackles are relatively common in open habitats along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts coasts of America.

The Atlantic coast birds differ from those found in Florida and along the Gulf coast in having yellow eyes.  As can be seen in the photos below, Florida and Gulf coast birds have brown eyes.
